Working on February Stars was one of the best experiences of my life. The cast and crew were so dedicated to this little project, and for that I owe them my eternal gratitude.
The film was a difficult one for me because of its themes. The young man, dealing with the impending death of his grandmother, must rise above everything else he is facing to take care of her. In the recent years I have had to deal with my own grandparents getting older. It's a part of life, but its new for me. I wanted to play with the themes of giving yourself up for someone else, and the rewards you can gain from it.
Ultimately the film is about love, faith and beauty of experiences we take for granted.
