So, a vampire walks into a bar...
“Vampires live -- or rather, exist -- by a strict set of rules. They sleep in a coffin during the day, feed off the blood of the living and must be invited into a dwelling before taking a victim. These character traits have become almost common knowledge. Everyone knows the back-story on vampires, and that’s where our story starts.”
“An Evening with Ivan Gorsky depicts an archetypical vampire -- a cross between Nosferatu and Grandpa Munster. He’s an old world fiend who’s adapted to New World living. Ivan Gorsky can speak from a thousand years of experience with no hang-ups about remaining politically correct or polite. His sole concern is to feed in order to remain undead. He is a vampire. He’s evil. He’s a fun character.”
“The film was shot in the nocturnal haze of Nancy’s Guy’s and Dolls - then Orlando’s oldest bar - just
weeks before the place closed it’s doors forever. The smoke-soaked wood paneling and lone pool
table flesh-out the character of Shey’s Lounge, the dive where our story takes place. It’s the kind of bar
a vampire might walk into, and in this film, Ivan
Gorsky does just that.”
